Gasket Failure Warning Signs

It would not be possible for your car to run without the gaskets that are in the vehicle. Gaskets are designed to form a perfect fit between certain parts of the car's engine. If a gasket should fail, important fluids in the engine would either leak out or mix together. This would lead to your car becoming inoperable.

There are warning signs that a gasket is having trouble and may need to be replaced. If you notice that there is seepage around a gasket, that is a warning sign. Sometimes, you will notice that your car is overheating when a gasket is starting to fail. You may notice steam in the exhaust if a gasket is going bad.

In order to keep gaskets from failing, you need to maintain your vehicle. Always keep the coolant at the proper level, and make sure to change your oil on a regular basis.
